Thomas has 7 years of banking experience with ABN AMRO Bank, in structured finance and risk management, and 4 years experience as Corporate Finance Director at Celtel International, a pan-African GSM operator, where he completed 51 transactions to raise USD 640 million for the company. He was the CFO of a real-estate development company before co-founding Topell Energy in 2008, where he worked as Finance Director. For Topell as well as its torrefaction plant in Duiven, he was responsible for funding, budgeting, contracting, and shareholder relations.
He holds a BscEcon from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Masters in financial and business economics from the University of Essex (with ‘Distinction’, top 5%). He speaks 5 languages fluently.
