Juanjo Mayans is an Engineer in Agronomy (level EQF 7), currently PhD in energetic use of gardening, agriculture and forestry biomass by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Since January 2004, Juanjo works as a head of the Serra’s City Council Technical Office in Valencia, Spain. Juanjo Mayans has more than 15 years of experience in forestry and environmental management. Since 2010 he is the project manager of biomass management and its conversion into solid fuel (wood pellets) used in the heating of public buildings in the municipality of Serra’s project, which has been recognized at national and international level. Juanjo has spent five years researching on biomass management in rural areas, renewable energy, manufacturing process of solid fuels derived from biomass and is an expert in production methods of chips and wood pellets for energetic uses and biomass heating and energy systems.
