Eric W. Sievers received his doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He founded and for seven years directed an environmental NGO in Central Asia, practiced law with several international law firms in Asia, Europe and the United States, and ran the origination desk for a private bank in Switzerland. He has been involved in the structuring and financing of more than 5 billion liters of biofuel production capacity, as well as several gigawatts of renewable power. Currently, he is the Director- Investments of Ethanol Europe Renewables Limited, a green investment vehicle whose flagship project is Pannonia Ethanol, Europe’s largest and newest bioethanol production facility, which is located in rural Hungary.
